๐–๐ก๐ฒ ๐Š๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐š๐ฌ? As someone whoโ€™s always felt connected to the South Asian community, it was jarring moving to Elon and feeling like I had no support or connection back to my roots. I joined Kappas to foster more connections with amazing Asian women across campus and also engage with a more diverse population of people in general.

๐–๐ก๐ฒ ๐Š๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐š๐ฌ? As someone who grew up in a predominantly white area, I felt disconnected to my culture. Kappas allows me to be able to not only connect with my own culture on a deeper level, but it has allowed me to educate myself on other cultures and identities as well.

I wanted to embrace and celebrate my own Asian culture through cultural events and volunteer opportunities that support Asian communities. Also, all of the sxsters in Kappa were so kind and welcoming, which made me want to become a part of it.
