51 LSB students spent the day learning across Charlotte, exploring how housing, development and public policy have shaped the city and its neighborhoods.

Students from the Center for Humanity in Business 3+Co-op Program, the Accelerated 3+1 Business Dual-Degree Program and the Entrepreneurship for the Greater Good course heard from community leaders and toured Charlotte neighborhoods to see those lessons firsthand.

Congratulations to LSB’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter on earning Highest Honors for the 2025–26 academic year!

The distinction recognizes the chapter’s commitment to strengthening Beta Gamma Sigma’s presence on campus and beyond. It also makes the chapter eligible to participate in the BGS Honor Roll Scholarship Program, through which Beta Gamma Sigma will fund a $2,000 scholarship for the chapter to award to a student member during the 2026–27 academic year.

What can AI make possible for someone with a good idea but limited resources?

New research co-authored by Hyunuk Kim, assistant professor of business analytics, looks at how indie game developers are using generative AI to bring ideas to life.

The study found that more indie developers entered Steam in 2024 and 2025 than earlier trends predicted, with AI used most often for images, music and coding.
