During Elon's production of “RENT,” the audiences did not only see the well-known rock musical - they were surrounded by it. The production featured an immersive sound design created through collaboration between Associate Professor Michael Smith, Production Manager Rick Earl and music production and recording arts student Brandon Cericola ’26.
Using surround speakers placed throughout the audience, the team transformed the theatre into a fully immersive audio experience.
