LCCC Advocacy and Resource Center LCCC's Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC) provides confidential assistance to support students.

The Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) is available year-round. The program reduces utility bills to a percentage of the household income.

Residents in all-electric homes pay 10% of their income to their electric company. Residents who heat with gas pay 5% of their income to their gas company and 5% to their electric company.

Making your payments on time and in full can also help erase arrearages.

Households must be living at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Applications must be made online.

This holiday season, OCS is working to ensure EVERY Oberlin child has an opportunity to receive presents! Registration is now open for our annual Holiday Helping Hands program. Parents and guardians can visit www.oberlincommunityservices.org/helpinghands for all the details and to sign up. Want to help bring December joy to local kids? Be a secret shopper by emailing [email protected] for info! The whole process is anonymous for both donors and recipients.

Although LCCAA's Summer Crisis Program has ended, help with utility costs remains available through other programs.

Lorain County residents can apply now for the annual Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) benefit.

This once-per-winter benefit will be applied to bills beginning in January 2027. Applications can be made as early as July 1 before the winter season and as late as May 31 after the winter season.

👶We'd like to reintroduce ourselves since it's been a while!👶

We offer free, non-diagnostic 2nd and 3rd trimester ultrasounds for women between 20-31 weeks along! The students in our program rely on volunteers to sign up for appointments for them to grow their OB scanning skills! In return for volunteering your time as a volunteer, you get to see your baby for an extra, free ultrasound, bring up to 2 guests, and take pictures/videos on your own phone or camera. Once you have had your anatomy scan (usually between 18 and 22 weeks along), we invite you to sign up for an appointment to come to the lab!
