Bobby Witt Jr. has been named the winner of the 2025 Lou Gehrig Award!

Given annually to the player who best exemplifies the giving character of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig, Bobby joins George Brett and Salvador Perez as the third Royal to win the Lou Gehrig Award.

Save the Date for ESU Day of Giving 2026

The Emporia PDT Alumni Club is partnering with the ESU Foundation on February 11 to build our Sound Learning & Leadership Endowed Fund. The Club and Several Alumni have stepped forward to create a Match of $5K to incentivize giving. Hope you will save the date and plan to give a little or something significant. More details to follow closer to Day of Giving.

The Sound Learning & Leadership Endowed Fund of the Emporia Area Phi Delta Theta Alumni Club recognizes and provides support for outstanding members of the undergraduate chapter. Phi Delta Theta is a values-based fraternity which helps young leaders build important skills applicable for any career path as they learn and grow to become the greatest version of themselves during their time at ESU.

The Club aspires to grow the fund to keep pace with inflation and expand the number of young men it can recognize and support. Today, the Sound Leading & Leadership Endowment funds six named scholarships, each with a different focus, and eight modest stipends to outstanding new initiates.
