We had such a great time out on the trail and at the Nez Perce Wallowa Homeland for the 5k Fun Run on Saturday! Here's some of our favorite photos from the day! There's more to come and we extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our community supporters who helped make this day a great success!

Progress!

We are extra stoked that this newest section of trail is going in well before our 5K Fun Run Event in Wallowa on Saturday September 26th. Follow this link to learn more - https://forms.gle/LnedS5VcXrjQYeQHA

After this week, the trail-with-rail will connect to the Kirk Jones Memorial Ball Field and provide much needed pedestrian access to the field for the community.

Please note, public recreation is permitted only on designated sections of the Joseph Branch Trail in the cities of Wallowa and Elgin. Leaving the trail or entering other areas of the surrounding Wallowa Union Railroad corridor is posted by the Wallowa Union Railroad Authority as NO TRESPASSING.

Hafer & Sons Construction LLC are hard at work this week clearing the right-of-way for another approximately 600 feet of trail in Wallowa!

The trail-with-rail remains open from the Wallowa River Bridge and Pocket Park at the end of North Storie Street to where the trail currently terminates at the Douglas Street Crossing.

Please be aware of equipment and construction work beyond the Douglas Street crossing as the crew works on laying and compacting gravel for the next significant chunk of trail!
