Meet Brooke Pecorella! Today’s 5 th year feature:
Hometown: Allegany, NY
Inspired to be an OT: I was inspired to become an occupational therapist because I wanted a career where I could make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Being an OT allows me to walk alongside individuals during some of their most challenging moments of their lives and help them regain confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose.
FW II: UPMC Mercy and Positive Steps
Gannon: Gannon has provided incredible opportunities for me to grow both personally and professionally while pursuing a career in OT. Throughout my 4 years I learned so much about myself and made life long friendships that I will forever cherish. I was able to be involved in many leadership opportunities through clubs and organizations that helped to shape me into the student I am today.
Professional Goals: My professional goals are to continue learning and growing so I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of my future clients. I hope to become the kind of therapist who make people feel supported, heard, and empowered to do the things that matter most to them!
