Penn State Behrend is a four-year, residential college offering thirty-seven bachelor's degrees, five master’s degrees, and four associate degree programs. With the resources and opportunities of a major research university in a welcoming, student-centered environment, Penn State Behrend offers a unique learning experience to more than 5,050 undergraduate and graduate students. Although our campus

is the second-largest in the Penn State system next to University Park, our faculty-to-student ratio of 1:16 provides students with a personalized learning experience from accomplished instructors. Located on a wooded 854-acre campus, Penn State Behrend is just minutes away from the heart of Erie, Pa., the fourth largest city in the state. The campus is alive with more than 100 clubs and organizations, 22 NCAA Division III men’s and women’s varsity athletic teams, and several intercollegiate and intramural sports. More than 1,750 students live on campus in traditional residence halls, suite-style halls, and apartment buildings. Annually, the college funds nearly $350,000 in undergraduate research opportunities and operates more than two dozen outreach centers, programs, and initiatives.

Penn State Behrend Women's Engagement Council hosted another successful Run for Women 5K run/walk this weekend — the event’s fifth and biggest year yet. More than 200 participants came out to celebrate movement, community, and campus spirit.

Penn State Behrend Athletics and Penn State Behrend Women's Engagement Council are teaming up with the Lucky Bean Run Club this Saturday for a "shakeout" run before Sunday's Run for Women 5K run/walk. Saturday's social run is free, fun and open to all paces! There's still time to sign up for Sunday's 5K (link in the comments).

The first 300 students who attend (3 p.m., McGarvey Commons) get a decorative Nittany Lion head, which can be fitted with custom hats at each info table!
