The Choirs of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College

The Choirs of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College The Choirs at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College are among the oldest and most active student organizations on campus.

The PENN STATE BEHREND CONCERT CHOIR (MUS 103, MWF, 1:25-2:15) is a collegiate choral ensemble open to all students who enjoy singing. The PENN STATE BEHREND CHAMBER SINGERS (MUS 104, Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:30-3:45pm) are a smaller, more experienced group of singers who learn and perform additional repertoire. Both groups rehearse in Smith Chapel, and both fulfill General Arts Elective Requirements for all majors.

The choirs have been busy through the pandemic, learning new skills to enable them to keep singing safely. We’ve been completely remote due to the dangers of singing in person, and we’ve used the platform to rehearse and perform our Virtual Spring Concert, now available on YouTube. We hope you enjoy it, and we are proud to have been able to keep singing and keep our community strong.
