Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance of the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

At Erie Institute of Technology, we are grateful for all who have served, as well as the many Veterans and military families within our community whose strength and sacrifice continue to inspire us.

Today and always, we remember those who gave everything.

Behind every student at Erie Institute of Technology is a reason they started.

A goal they’ve carried with them.
A family they want to make proud.
A future they’ve imagined for themselves for a long time.

Inside our Phlebotomy lab, the “Why I Am Here?” wall serves as a reminder of the purpose, motivation, and personal stories that drive students forward each day. And while every journey looks different, that sense of determination exists across every program at EIT.

Because when your education is connected to something meaningful, it becomes about more than earning a degree. It becomes about building the life you’ve been working toward.

Sometimes the biggest difference in a student’s experience comes down to the people guiding them along the way.

Recent CNC Machinist Program graduate Alexander shares how the support and encouragement of his instructor positively shaped his time at Erie Institute of Technology, helping build not only his skills, but his confidence as well.

At EIT, learning goes beyond the curriculum. It’s about having people in your corner who genuinely want to see you succeed!

Some roles in healthcare may seem small from the outside, but they carry real weight.

Phlebotomy is about more than drawing blood. It’s about being part of the process that helps people get answers, begin treatment, and move forward with clarity.

It takes skill, attention to detail, and a steady, compassionate presence, all developed through hands-on learning and real practice.

For those who feel called to help others in a meaningful way, this path can be incredibly rewarding. Apply today at the link in our bio.

Congratulations are in order as we celebrate a couple of incredible achievements by one of our amazing Welding Instructors, DeLayne Jacobs.

DeLayne recently earned his AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification, a prestigious milestone that reflects his expertise, precision, and dedication to the craft.

On top of that, his sculpture “Statement of a Sink” earned 2nd place in the 2025 American Welding Society Northwest Section Art Competition, a testament to both his technical skill and creative vision.

We’re grateful to have instructors like DeLayne, who not only bring real-world knowledge into the classroom but also continue to push themselves and their craft forward. His passion and accomplishments inspire our students every day.
