Environmental Studies Associate Professor Drew Howing’s love for the outdoors started early. Inspired by his grandpa, Ron Howing, a retired Wildlife Biologist with the Iowa DNR, he spends any time he can outside.

Today, Drew shares that same passion with Iowa Lakes students every day through hands-on learning and real-world experiences such as research in the Iowa Wetlands. We’re grateful for the knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm he brings to our students and programs!
