Congratulations to UO SOMD Professor Stephen Rodgers on receiving a grant from the Mariann Steegmann Foundation to support Imagined Song Cycles! 👏✨🎶

The project is dedicated to recovering, curating, and performing songs by nineteenth-century women composers. The grant will help Rodgers bring this music to new audiences through research, performance, and a forthcoming album from Orchid Classics featuring newly assembled song cycles by Elise Schmezer, Pauline Decker, Mary Wurm, and Julie Schnitzler.

UO clarinet students and alumni made an international impression at ClarinetFest 2026! 🎶🌎

Hosted by the International Clarinet Association, July 7–11 in Incheon, South Korea, this year’s festival brought together nearly 1,500 clarinetists and music professionals from more than 40 countries for a week of recitals, lectures, master classes, competitions, exhibitions, and more.
