Last month, Joyce Wei-Jo Chen hosted a CSWS Noon Talk called, "Cherchez la femme: Music by Baroque Women Composers." Her presentation explored Baroque women composers through a short lecture and recital featuring UO student performers. It was such an insightful, wonderful event and we had a great time!

In April, CSWS hosted a graduate student workshop, War and Ecology, featuring Dr. Salar Mameni as our visiting speaker. Engaging with Mameni’s work, alongside readings from other authors, created lots of thoughtful discussion. It was an insightful opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect!

In April, we hosted our Spring CSWS Research Fellows Luncheon. Graduate and Faculty Research Fellows for 2025-26 shared updates on their dissertations and projects, highlighting the impact of CSWS grants on their research journeys.
