Get to know Kappa Alpha Theta!!



Our philanthropy supports Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Casa is a volunteer program that pairs children with a trained advocate during their time in the foster care system to speak on the best interest of the child’s wellbeing in court🩵

On January 27th, 1870, the chapter Kappa Alpha Theta was founded at Depaw University in Indiana. It was the first greek letter fraternity known amongst women!!

Our symbols are twin stars, a kite, and black and gold pansies. The most common one you will see representing our chapter is the kite. We use the kite to showcase the four values of our chapter, calling our values the “four points of the kite”. ⭐️🪁

Our four points of the kite are Personal Excellence, Intellectual Curiosity, Commitment to Service, and Leadership Potential.

Our colors are black and gold, which are also reflected on our flower, the black and gold pansy🖤💛

You cannot believe how excited I am to meet you and be your big! I’m currently probably reading or listening to country music, but am always down for a side quest. So excited for movie nights at the house, taking pictures before formals together, and big little reveal!

I can’t wait to meet you! I hope you’re ready for snack runs, loads of shopping, endless laughs and lots of love. Being in Theta has been one of the best experiences of my life and I just know you’re gonna love it just as much. See you soon!
