Our mission at the University of Oregon is to ensure that students get connected with Health Professions advising and other career exploration support beginning early in the educational journey, offer advising appointments that support career development, provide opportunities for enriching supplemental workshops and activities, and guidance through the cumulative experience of applying to a healt
h programs. Our goal at the University of Oregon is to provide robust academic and career advising. Health Professions advisors provide supportive advising and programming services, both virtual and in-person, that follows the Explore, Plan, Prepare to Apply model. To support our goal, each advisor is cross-trained in a variety of topics including career exploration, academic and extracurricular planning, and activities related to graduate or medical school application processes. Our commitment as Health Profession advisors is to support students of all backgrounds and intersecting identities by providing a welcoming, supporting, respectful and student-centered environment.
