Karen Fike Art Karen's materials and techniques create an evolution as lighting and viewing angles change. Karen was born in New York and raised all over the United States.

I’m a Chicago-based visual artist creating layered, mixed-media paintings that explore women’s journeys and human resilience through color, movement, and light. Chicago fine artist Karen Clancy Fike's work consists of multi-media pieces layered in graffiti paints and pens, acrylics, resin, flash glazes, and precious metal leafing. New experiences are continually created for the viewer within a single painting…a beautifully chaotic living work of art. Growing up in so many beautiful areas of the country, from Hawaii to Texas, provided her creative spirit with infinite diversity and inspiration. She began painting at the age of seven and was an award-winning artist by the age of nine. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the University of Texas, Arlington. Her work hangs in restaurants and private residences throughout Chicago and nationwide.
