Congratulations International President John Costa for being named to City & State’s 2026 Labor Power 100!

International President Costa has stood shoulder to shoulder with ATU members on picket lines, at the bargaining table, and out in the community. That kind of leadership has built a stronger ATU and labor movement. We’re proud to fight alongside you!

We are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement for the Operations CBA with Community Transit.

We asked the mediator and CT if we can make this announcement, however we cannot provide details at this time.

We will be having informational meetings at the Labor Temple as soon as we have a red line copy of the contract for members to view prior to the vote. Watch for more information to come.

Because this is tentative agreement, the negotiation team is recommending that we ratify it.

Thank you all for your patience during this all too long negotiation process.

In Solidarity,

Your Negotiating Team, Pres Bains, VP Perkins, Fin Sec Harlan, Rec Sec Gamble, EBoard Rachel V, Eric S, Max L, Scott P.

ATU Local 1576 Informational Picketing – Round 2!
All right, everybody! Calling all ATU Local 1576 members, Community Transit employees, ATU represented employees, and anyone from our other properties who would like to stand with us.
Today is Round 2 of our informational picketing, and we have two locations planned.

Our first location is from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the corner of Airport Road and Casino Road. This location gives us great visibility as Boeing employees, Community Transit employees, and others travel through the area heading to Cascade, Kasch Park, and Hardeson Base.

We're already out here with several members of your Executive Board, and we're grateful to have support from SPEEA and the Snohomish & Island County Labor Council. Thank you for standing in solidarity with us!

We'd also like to give a special shout out to IAM Machinists Local for generously allowing our ATU members to use your parking lot so we have a place to park while participating in today's informational picketing. We truly appreciate your support, your solidarity, and your willingness to help make today's event possible. Thank you!

At 11:00 a.m., we'll head over to our second location across from Hardeson Base, between Merrill Creek and Hardeson, where we'll be set up with a barbecue. This location is perfect for those who couldn't make previous pickets or who were limited by parking. Stop by, grab a bite to eat, say hello, and spend a few minutes standing alongside your fellow brothers and sisters, ATU members, and ATU represented employees. Every person who joins us makes a difference.

If we have a strong turnout this afternoon, we may also send a group over to Cascade around 2:30 p.m. ahead of the Community Transit Board meeting at 3:00 p.m. So if you're able to join us, let's show up in numbers and make our voices heard.
We hope to see you out there today. Together, we are stronger.

In solidarity,
ATU Local 1576

This piece of legislation is a proactive step toward building public transit systems where safety and service go hand in hand. We thank Senators Jack Reed and Josh Hawley for introducing the Bus Operator Safety and Security Act.

Help ATU members impacted by the Spokane Complex Wildfires. Our Local members from the Spokane, WA, area have had their homes and property destroyed by these destructive and dangerous wildfires. Thousands in the area have been evacuated as the fires continue to rage on.

When a crisis hits, ATU members do what they do every day of the job. They just help out. Help your fellow members and their families by contributing to the ATU Disaster Relief Fund at bit.ly/ATU-Disaster-Relief
