Delta Tau Delta, Redefine Fraternity. Delta Tau Delta is a men’s social fraternity that has a national presence. Originally established at Bethany College, this proud fraternity has now arrived at the bucolic campus of The College of New Jersey. Upon arrival, they appeared with more than just a tent, flyers, and sign-up sheets. They arrived with the founding principles of Delta Tau Delta: Truth, C
ourage, Faith, and Power. They aimed to create something different on this campus, something truly unique. We, as Founding Fathers, aim to redefine ‘fraternity’, redefine what it means to be ‘brothers’, and redefine ourselves into better men. Delta Tau Delta places a huge emphasis on academics. Maintaining GPA requirements, while still enjoying college social life, enforces the idea that a college fraternal experience should be a well-round one. However, life is not all about GPA requirements and essays. Life, in itself, is an educational experience. We encourage to go beyond the books of the academic world. We want to explore life, appreciate it, and lead adventures true to our core values. Delta Tau Delta aims to create a true gentleman in society. A gentleman is not perfect and we do not aim to be. We do, however, aim to achieve the best we can in life. We learn from our flaws and each of us contributes our successes to this fraternity. Those successes are also used to support the local communities through service projects and develop strong bonds between our fellow members and the community we help. We believe that our fraternal experience does not end with the tossing of caps at graduation or the final packing of our bags for Summer Break. Delta Tau Delta will continue with us for the remainder of our lives. While we currently try to redefine ‘fraternity’ today, we know that one day we will aim to redefine what it means to be a father, a husband, a friend, a leader, and a continued gentleman in a world that moves to quickly to settle for less.
