Congratulations to Ms. Carrie Epifan and Ms. Malini Banerjee of Copeland Elementary School in Trenton for earning the School of Education’s Outstanding Cooperating Teacher Award! Ms. Epifan and Ms. Banerjee have mentored dozens of TCNJ future teachers over the years. TCNJ student Elizabeth Parvin, wrote in her nomination: “My Clinical II student teaching experience has truly been nothing short of amazing due to my kind, supportive, and knowledgeable cooperating teacher Mrs. Epifan.”
Meera Bhatt shared: “Throughout my student teaching placement, Ms. Banerjee has modeled the highest standards of TCNJ’s School of Education, serving as a transformative mentor who bridges the gap between pedagogical theory and classroom excellence.”
We are grateful for these two exemplary educators and their commitment to developing the next generation of teachers.

From March 28 to April 2, future educators from the School of Education attended the Sigma Tau Delta Convention in New Orleans, themed “Second Lines and New Beginnings.” ✨📚

It was an incredible experience where they connected with passionate educators, presenters, and students from across the country while celebrating scholarship, leadership, and the future of education and English.

We are especially proud of the future teachers who represented us through their presentations and dedication to the profession:

Matthew Yuro, Stefan Stojanoski, Zoe O’Malley, Matthew Chinique, Catherine Gonzalez, Morgan Michalko, Ciara Corbett, Jake Hamtil, Erin Parker, Jessica Nazario, Rachel McDonald, Francisca Irvin, Natalia Tomczak, and Kelly Kim.

We hope you left with lasting memories, conversations, and inspiration that came from this experience in New Orleans! 🌟 Congratulations and well done!
