Climate change impacts continue to displace vulnerable communities around the world with increasing frequency and intensity. Existing domestic and international legal frameworks are inadequate to confront the unfolding global climate change displacement crisis.

Randall S. Abate, Assistant Dean, The George Washington University Law School, will present "The Plight of Climate Refugees: Rising Seas, Melting Ice, and Inadequate Legal Frameworks" on March 5 at 12:30pm in ED 212.

Join the TCNJ Prelaw Program as Dean Abate addresses this pressing issue at the forefront of global climate change adaptation and resilience.

Harrison Lavelle (TCNJ PoliSci '25 and TCNJ International Studies '25) & his colleagues at Split Ticket, an election analysis website, recently partnered with Politico to create an online game where you manage a 2024 presidential campaign. Split Ticket was founded by Harrison and his parnters Lakshya Jain, Leon Sit, and Armin Thomas to create a website for their mapping, modeling, and political forecasting work. Can you manage a successful 2024 presidential campaign?

・・・
Imagine that there are just two months to go until Election Day 2024, and you’re managing a presidential campaign (congrats!). You have choices to make on where to invest your precious resources to both convince persuadable voters and turn out your base.

But not every vote is created equal. In 2020, more than 158 million votes were cast in the race for president. The election came down to just 125,084 of them. That’s the combined margin by which Biden beat Trump in the four closest battleground states: Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Ultimately, the presidency was decided by a relatively small slice of voters in a handful of key swing states.

We partnered with Split Ticket, an election analysis publication, to create a choose-your-own-adventure game that shows you the electoral dynamics across America. It’s based on eight specific clusters of voters grouped by political and demographic statistics, which helps demonstrate how differential swings and turnouts among the different groups could impact who wins in 2024.

With that, let’s put your political knowledge to the test! Put on your campaign manager hat and head to the link in our bio to try your hand at making the right decision in four possible scenarios for fall 2024 (swipe ← to see just one of the them).
