On March 17, 1917, five women at New York University Law School took a pledge of loyalty and so founded the Alpha Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon, the first non-secretarian social sorority and the only one founded at a professional school. Delta Phi Epsilon was formed, "for the purpose of promoting good fellowship among sorority women to help in acquiring knowledge, appreciation, discriminating judgment and a true feeling of sisterly love, through the interaction of sympathetic and friendly natures." Five years later on March 17, 1922, Delta Phi Epsilon was formally incorporated under the laws of the State of New York. On December 5, 1992, crossing international boundaries, the first Canadian chapter was installed at McGill University at Montreal.

Our philanthropy, Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, holds a special place in our hearts. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who contributed and participated in our tabling events & This week was a beautiful reminder of the power of love, support, and community.

“I am so beyond happy that I went dphie. It was and is the best decision of my life. Going into college I knew nothing about sororities or greek life. After one interest session with dphie, I always knew where I wanted to be. This sisterhood is truly so amazing, I love all my girls so much, especially my du’s. When I’m sad, I always know who to talk to. When Im lonely and need someone to hangout with, there’s always a sister you can count on. They’ve already given me some of the most memorable moments of my college experience, and I can’t wait to make so many more with these amazing girls. I love you DPhiE 💜

Angie Nazario reflects on her time studying abroad🌎✈️

“Studying abroad was wholeheartedly the best experience of my life. I spent the summer living in Barcelona, meeting so many new people and experiencing so many new things through the food, the city, the nightlife, and everything in between. I also got the chance to travel to so many incredible places, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better summer. If you get the chance to go abroad, go. Meet new people, try new things, and make memories that will genuinely last a lifetime. As much as I miss Barcelona, I’m so happy to be back with my sisters this semester making even more memories together! 😚😚”

Today marks the beginning of National Su***de Prevention Month. 💜

Seven years ago, our chapter experienced the heartbreaking loss of our sister, Jenna. While many of us may not have had the opportunity to know her personally, her memory continues to hold a special place within our sisterhood. We remain committed to honoring her life and carrying her spirit with us in all that we do.

Throughout this month, we encourage everyone to prioritize their mental health, reach out to the people they trust, and lead with kindness and compassion toward others. Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, and no one should have to face difficult moments alone.
