We wanted to thank everybody who joined us this last Wednesday to discuss protesting & protesting safety.

We discussed things such as, where to find opportunities to get involved, as well as the best ways to keep yourself and your fellow protestors safe in action. We also discussed other ways to get involved outside of protesting.

A lot of the resources shared within our meeting can also be found under our “protest” instagram highlight. So, if you did miss this meeting, you can also find them there.

Thank you to everybody who humored us in acting out possible situations to be able to practice what do to if you end up in a less than optimal situation while protesting.

We hope you learned something, and had fun while doing it.

Yesterday, we held our first annual pajama party event, Pajamnesty, and watched Wicked to spread awareness for Banned Books week! 📖

📌 The banning of books poses a huge threat to freedom of expression. As authorities tend to target the works of activists, journalists, and supporters of other human rights movements, it’s important to stand up against banned books and make sure these voices are heard.

📌 Some examples of books that have been banned or challenged for LGBTQ+ content, profanity, or controversial themes include Gender Q***r, All Boys Aren’t Blue, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Wicked.

Let’s make sure to advocate for these voices and fight the banning of books! 📚

We were very excited to have been given the opportunity to join in Philadelphia for 2025’s Regional Activism Conference!

Discussing the future of our organization as well as being able to put out feelers to make connections with other chapters was such a fulfilling opportunity.

More pictures incoming.
