CCEDC congratulates Chester County Workforce Development Manager, Stephanie Smith, on receiving the Workforce Phoenix Award from the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association

This award honors workforce professionals demonstrating innovation and leadership, enacting change, and providing excellent service to others. Stephanie championed and shaped workforce initiatives in Chester County, prompting the CCEDC's nomination on her behalf.

"....This really felt like a win for the team because Stephanie and her colleagues with the County are critical members of the public sector who unite with CCEDC, as we bring private sector employers to the table to match with employees," said Gary Smith, CCEDC CEO.

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

CCEDC and the CCIDA are providing support for a $2,500,000 RACP grant for the Delaware Valley Friends School. This funding supports a new wing with classrooms and administrative space; and enlarged cafeteria with a new commercial kitchen to enable the school to provide lunch to its socioeconomically diverse student body; an outdoor café courtyard; a more secure entrance, and stormwater management.
