Lights, camera, creativity! 🎬

T3 Alaska Haines students brought their imaginations to life through stop-motion animation. Using clay and LEGO characters, students created their own storylines featuring a zombie apocalypse caused by an alien invasion.

Through storytelling, students practiced creativity, planning, problem-solving, and digital media skills—all while having fun bringing their ideas to life.

During a recent T3 Alaska trip to Kotzebue, students got hands-on experience with energy auditing, weatherization, filmmaking, and interviewing.

They learned to identify energy challenges, explore practical solutions, and use storytelling to document what they’re seeing in their community. Students also received camera training and a video storytelling kit to continue creating after the T3 team headed home.

It’s more than learning about technology—it’s about giving students the skills and confidence to understand challenges in their communities and help create solutions.

From “we don’t know how to…yet” to creating a community resource! 🗺️🌲
T3 Alaska Haines students took on the challenge of mapping the CIA Trails behind the school. At first, they didn’t know how to process the photos, upload the images, or create the map—but they learned with a growth mindset and problem solving.

Using GoThru and Google Maps, students transformed their photos into a digital trail map. Now they’re already thinking bigger, with ideas to map Battery Point Trail and the route to Tukgut Hut on Mount Ripinski.

A great example of technology helping students learn, share, and support their community! https://shorturl.at/xHXlL

Today’s drone flights are building tomorrow’s career skills! 🚁

Brevig Mission T3 Alaska students are gaining hands-on experience with drone operations, safety practices, and aerial data collection. These skills are the first steps toward advanced opportunities like earning an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

In the 2026–2027 school year, T3 Alaska is expanding drone career pathways with the goal of helping students pursue Part 107 licenses and explore careers using drone technology with organizations like the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

The sky is the limit when students combine technology, curiosity, and career goals!

Engineering in action! ⚡🌬️

Last year, two T3 Alaska students from Mount Edgecumbe High School represented their school at the Alaska Clean Energy Olympics, where they designed and tested wind turbine blades, completed an Alaska energy knowledge challenge, and presented their engineering process.

Their hard work paid off with a Top 3 finish in Southeast Alaska, and their turbine blades generated the highest energy output of any Southeast team!

Congratulations on an outstanding accomplishment and for representing MEHS so well!
