UAF CTC Early Childhood Education Program Our focus is on developing meaningful approaches for working with young children and their families.

We offer a Nanny Caregiving Occupational Endorsement, a Certificate, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education. The UAF Community and Technical College Early Childhood Education program provides students with a solid foundation in child development and experience in a highly satisfying a career nurturing young children. This exciting profession is referred to by many names such as preschool, nursery school, daycare, Head Start, and kindergarten. These names represent a variety of program styles, but the goal is the same; to help children develop to the maximum of their intellectual, social, emotional and physical abilities and provide support for families.
