The Wright Venture 2026 competition took place on April 15th, showcasing exceptional entrepreneurial concepts from our talented students. We extend our congratulations to the Top 5 finalists for their outstanding presentations. Our sincere gratitude goes to the esteemed panel of judges: Jonah Sandler, Lesley Ott, Beth Savage, and Jason Trimbach, for their invaluable contributions in selecting this year's winners.

Significant funding was awarded to the students to support the development of their business ventures:

On April 9 & 10, RSCOB had the privilege of hosting OMAC 2026 (Ohio Marketing Academic Colloquium) at . Marketing faculties from different parts of the state gathered to share their views on AI & various marketing-related topics. The two-day conference was a good collaboration between faculties across the state in exchanging new views & ideas.

Thank you Ohio University, University of Toledo, Ohio State University, Kent State University, Bowling Green University & our guest speakers for visiting us.

Dr. Asamoah and Britt Vosters, Academic Director of MS programs, accompanied 17 students on an ISSCM tour of FedEx in Miamisburg. Students enjoyed an interactive facility tour followed by a discussion that highlighted career paths, internship opportunities, and options for international students.

This collaboration also supports future recruitment efforts through FedEx’s tuition reimbursement program. These company visits are creating meaningful, real-world learning opportunities for our students!

Huge congratulations to our Ascend Leadership Academy graduates!

Friday was truly a fabulous celebration as we honored 36 incredible students—double last year’s cohort—across two groups. The energy, growth, and passion for leadership in the room was inspiring!

We were fortunate to hear from two outstanding keynote speakers: Cassie Barlow from SOCHE in the morning and Marty Grunder from the Grow Group in the afternoon. Both delivered powerful messages that left our students feeling motivated and ready to lead with confidence.

Our graduates leave Ascend with stronger leadership skills, meaningful new friendships, and a clearer vision for their future.

We are so proud of this group and can’t wait to see how they continue to grow, lead, and make a difference in their communities and beyond.
