We're the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers here at George Mason University and we want to create an organization with the largest engineering presence here on campus and beyond! Mechanical Engineers are well versed in many different high level topics, concepts, a

nd go on to work in a variety of fields. You can find them anywhere from designing energy harnessing devices to nano-machines,and from nuclear applications to HVAC, making them an invaluable asset to the global engineering community. Hello again Mason ASME! We would like to announce one more event in our career panel series, this time with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center! This will be a great opportunity to interact directly with several NASA engineers in a Q+A environment. You will be able to hear about their career journey, get an overview of NASA internships, and program/ETD paths. This event will take place THIS WEEK Thursday 3/4 @ 6:00 PM EST. It is important to note that this event will also take place via Microsoft Teams. We cannot express how excited we are to be able to collaborate with the NASA GSFC on this event and we hope to see you all there. It's going to be incredible.

You provided feedback and we listened, L3Harris representatives will provide a presentation discussing their work on GLOBAL DEFENSE and AEROSPACE. SURPRISE!!! To finish off week 1 of our career panel series Mason ASME would like to announce a very special guest speaker. NASA and Blue Origin Engineer York Zhang will be returning to participate in a career preparation discussion. This event will take place Friday 2/26 at 6:00 pm EST via Zoom. Mr. Zhang and Mason ASME have collaborated in the past to glowing reviews so this will not be an event you want to miss out on. This will not be a recruiting event, but a great way to learn about professional development of career tools necessary to help get you to where you want to be.

Mason ASME, I would like to announce the first events in our Career Panel Series with a double feature next week starring Jacobs and the MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Next Monday, February 22 at 6:00 pm EST we will be hosting Jacobs in a virtual Zoom meeting where you will be able to engage with company representatives to determine if Jacobs is a good fit for you. The same week, Wednesday February 24th at 6:00 pm EST Mason ASME will also be hosting the MIT Lincoln Laboratory for the same opportunities. I would like to emphasize the INTERNSHIP and ENTRY LEVEL position recruitment opportunities that both have expressed, so please come with your resume prepared!

Hi all, the CIA will be hosting STEM and technology focused coffee chats Thursday, 11/12. These chats will be 1-on-1 phone conversations with a CIA recruiter. These sessions are informal and not job interviews, but questions about specific positions found at cia.gov/careers should be prepared. Register for a time slot by 5 pm 11/9 with a CIA Recruitment Officer by contacting GMU University Career Services.
