โOver the last two years October has quickly become one my my favorite months to look forward to. Not just because it is one of the coziest seasons, rather it is a month that stands for streamlined action towards such an imperative cause.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a month that means a lot to many people globally, and to myself. Itโs not easy to say sometimes, but I have unfortunately lost three family members from breast cancer specifically. I have seen the way it affects different people, and it is for that reason, and the unfortunate fact that it will keep affecting 1 in 8 women, that I keep fighting this disease.
ZTA has given me a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on. It has been driver for personal and national change. From ZTA I have the absolutely blessing of being surrounded by likeminded women with my same passion for making a difference.
To my sisters, the biggest thank you, I wouldnโt be where I am without your unwavering support. ๐
