For the first time, the GMU PSA observed Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5th. We are grateful to the Embassy of Pakistan for making us aware of such an important day and we stand in solidarity with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their struggle foe peace and the plight for their freedom. It has been exactly 6 months since Kashmir has been on a total lockdown and as Pakistani-American students we recognize the importance of Human rights, that include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination. We believe that all individuals have the right to self-determination
