This week, the GMU Black Alumni Chapter and George Mason Athletics honored during the George Mason Men's Basketball game against Fordham with Bobby Lacy II and Doc Nix & The Green Machine performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing” and student groups recognized during halftime. Wednesday's victory ensures the Patriots will earn either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in next month's Atlantic 10 Conference Championship!

The game and yesterday’s Black Lives Next Door Research Symposium capped off George Mason University's activities that included the George Mason University NPHC Collegiate Council's Step Show, Five-time GRAMMY Award winner Angélique Kidjo’s Center for the Arts at George Mason University performance, August Wilson’s Tony Award-winning play Two Trains Running, and more.
