George Mason University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi George Mason University's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi. George Mason University's chapter of The Phi Kappa Phi Society was founded in 2011. Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest, all disciplinary academic honor society in the country.

Undergraduate and graduate students may be members, as well as faculty, staff and alumni with the required academic credentials.

Mission: To provide information for Mason's Phi Kappa Phi members on events, news, and scholarships.

According to S-CAR Dean Kevin Avruch, who is Mason's liaison to the consortium, welcoming endangered scholars "accords very well with Mason’s mission to be not just any university, but a university for the world."

Dissertation Fellowship deadline approaches. This fellowship is for up to $10,000. The fellowship supports students in the dissertation writing stage of doctoral study. Awards are for 12 months of dissertation writing. All pre-dissertation requirements should be met by the application deadline, including approval of the dissertation proposal.

The President’s Leadership Seminar is an 7-8 week seminar that allows students to participate in a cohort leadership experience with the University President, Angel Cabrera, and Dr. Gregory Unruh. Students will have exposure to classic and contemporary literature that connects directly to leadership, innovation, diversity, entrepreneurship, accessibility, ethics, global citizenship, positivity, and happiness. The cohort leadership experience is designed to be interactive and engaging for students as they reflect upon their personal leadership. Students will have an opportunity to discover something new about themselves and their leadership through critical thinking, reasoning, logic, and challenging their own thought processes and beliefs.
