Catherine (Auriana) Cadigan ’04, MBA’10, has been named president of Fairfield University's Alumni Association Board of Directors, continuing a connection to the University that began more than two decades ago.

Having served multiple terms on the Alumni Board, Cadigan hopes to bring alumni together through opportunities for lifelong learning, service, and greater engagement with the Fairfield community.

Fairfield University alumnus Robert L. Berchem ’62 has been honored with the 2026 Walter Camp Champion of Community Award, recognizing his outstanding professional achievements and lasting impact through community and charitable service. A proud Fairfield graduate, Berchem began his career clerking for U.S. District Court Chief Judge William Timbers before earning his law degree and going on to found what is now one of Connecticut’s leading law firms, Berchem Moses PC. He continues to give back as a dedicated University trustee.

Jillian Churchill, MA’16, has been appointed Assistant Principal at Westover Magnet School in Stamford Public Schools. She previously served as an assistant principal at Cloonan Middle School, where she also taught sixth-grade science and social studies. Her Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Fairfield University helped prepare her for this next step in her leadership journey.

The changes take effect immediately, according to Stamford Public Schools.

Fairfield University alumni Elizabeth Thibault ’26 and Adrian Garza ’26 continue to carry the values of the The Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies into their communities through leadership and service.

Garza honors his grandmother’s legacy by helping lead a scholarship fund and annual benefit that has raised nearly $25,000 to support students across local school districts. Thibault has dedicated more than a decade to YMCA Camp Woodstock, advancing youth wellness, safety, and care while earning recognition for her commitment to service. Their dedication reflects the meaningful impact Fairfield University alumni make in their communities.
