Elementary Education student Annamaria Tizzio BA’25, MA’26 gained classroom experience this past spring semester at Tracey Magnet School in Norwalk, Connecticut through Fairfield's student teaching program.

Through her roles as a building intern and student teacher, she worked directly with students, provided whole-class support, and worked alongside her co-teacher to deliver instruction in a range of subjects — helping prepare her for a future in education.

Temple Grandin, PhD—author, scientist, professor, and autism advocate—delivered “The Way I See It: A Personal Look at Autism” at The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University to a sold-out audience of local attendees and the Fairfield University community.

In her lecture, she drew on her lived experience to describe how individuals on the autism spectrum may think and experience the world differently, emphasizing the importance of understanding these differences in educational and social settings and recognizing the value of supporting diverse ways of thinking.

Mary Dobson '07, MA '10, LMFT, CEDS served as a featured investor panelist at the 2026 Fairfield Dolan StartUp Showcase. A Fairfield alumna, she earned her bachelor's degree in 2007 and her Master of Arts (MA) in Marriage and Family Therapy from the School of Education and Human Development in 2010.

A healthcare entrepreneur, psychotherapist, and founder of multiple behavioral health ventures, she specializes in the intersection of leadership, resilience, and performance psychology. As a StartUp Showcase judge, she brought a founder's perspective to evaluating mission-driven ventures focused on strategy, scalability, and impact.
