Sacred Heart University's Center for Career & Professional Development Provides career guidance and preparation for all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alum

Career Development programs and services include:


• The Major in Success Program for full-time undergraduate first year students to help gain self-knowledge, select a major, and research compatible career options

• Career assessments include the Strong Interest Inventory and StrengthsFinder

• Assistance finding paid and unpaid internships for which students may be able to earn academic cred

it

• Résumé writing, cover letter writing, interviewing and job search skills development

• Career panel discussions, networking events, employer on-campus interviewing, and job fairs

• Online job postings—the office maintains an online job bank and job search management website (PioneerNetwork) exclusively for Sacred Heart University students

• Guidance in conducting a senior-year or final graduate program year job search for a full-time position after graduation

• Assistance in finding part-time and summer employment

• Planning for and researching graduate school options

• One-on-one counseling for career related issues
