If you're interested in writing a book and getting it published, Fairfield University's low-residency MFA in Creative Writing is the perfect fit for you. In the past two years, our alumni have published 22 books, in addition to hundreds of articles, essays, stories, and poems. Our new concentration in publishing/editing has helped students get internships and jobs at magazines and publishing house

s alike. And our post-grad teacher-training program has helped students land teaching positions at the college level. As a student in our program, you can pursue concentrations in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and scriptwriting/playwriting. Within these genres, you can also choose publishing/editing (intern at one of five Fairfield University MFA–sponsored presses or magazines) or spiritual writing. Students gather for our convenient semiannual residencies on beautiful Enders Island in Mystic, Connecticut. While highly rigorous, the program can be tailored to suit your individual writing goals, and allow you to learn from a faculty made of nationally recognized writers. No matter which writing path you pursue, you’ll receive the support and guidance of our award-winning faculty during the one-on-one mentoring sessions, as well as many opportunities to collaborate during on-campus activities and online - illustrating our commitment to your well-being and success.

Thank you Wynne, Brenda, Carrie, Theresa, Matt, Amanda, and the anonymous supporters who contributed to the Spot Fund for Planet Female Global StoryFest.
The time I have invested in this festival is all pro bono, from concept, to designing materials/website, marketing, planning/organization/management, to working the event.
These donations along with submission fees and ticket sales will pay for the event and bring this vision to fruition as we celebrate female storytellers on November 9, 2024. YOU - I - WE BELIEVE WE MUST CONTINUE TO PROVIDE PLATFORMS FOR WOMEN'S VOICES.
One week to go before our Spotfund ends, but there is still time to contribute to Planet Female Global StoryFest and make it the best inaugural StoryFest for women, ever! Our goal is $2500 which will give us what we need for 2024 and get 2025 off to a solid start, HOWEVER GETTING TO $750 will give us what we need to make this year special.

55 donations of $10 EACH will get us there. Please consider contributing $10 before the fundraiser ends on August 30th.
