Seeking alumni leaders.

Greetings Bristol Community College Alumni!

Your Bristol experience can help shape what comes next for the college.

The Alumni Association Steering Committee invites you to apply to serve as Bristol Community College’s next Alumni Trustee. As a member of the college’s Board of Trustees, you will represent your fellow alumni and bring their perspectives to decisions about Bristol’s future.

This is an opportunity to give back through leadership—helping ensure that the experiences and needs of students and alumni inform the college’s planning and priorities.

The five-year term begins in July 2027. Applications are due January 15, 2027.

The Alumni Trustee attends monthly Board of Trustees meetings and meetings of the Alumni Association Steering Committee, which meets six times annually. The role also requires time to review materials and prepare for meetings.

Who should apply?

Candidates should:

*Be a Bristol alumnus with at least 30 credit hours; a degree or certificate is preferred.
*Understand Bristol’s mission, vision and values, as well as the needs of the communities and students it serves.
*Be an active and respected professional and/or community leader.
*Have a working knowledge of board practices and procedures.
*Commit the time needed to prepare for, attend and actively participate in monthly Board of Trustees meetings.
*Exercise discretion and sensitivity to the responsibilities of a public institution.
*Be willing, to the best of their ability, to contribute financially to the college.
*Reside within the college’s service area.
*Attend Alumni Association Steering Committee meetings.

Ready to put your experience to work for Bristol?
