Our very own Advanced Manufacturing Director, Jordan Domkowski, was interviewed by FOX61 as part of ReadyCT's Manufacturing Career Roadshow! Almost 600 students in grades 6-12 attended the event, each of them getting to learn about local career opportunities and meet with 20 manufacturers.

During the interview, Domkowski reflected on what it’s been like to get the CT State Tunxis Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Center (AMTC) up and running, saying, “For years it's been work to build up this undercurrent of interest, and now being able to see an event like this where you're having buses of students come by into a real shop environment, meeting with company partners, meeting with the different organizations in Connecticut that support manufacturing, it's really rewarding and I'm very happy to see that we're getting so much interest.”

We agree, Jordan. We couldn’t be prouder of all that’s happening with advanced manufacturing at CT State! Want to learn more about the program? Check it out here: https://ctstate.edu/manufacturing

Last night, we celebrated the Class of 2026 with admiration, pride, and tears of joy. With 461 graduates earning 403 degrees and 167 certificates, those graduating crossed the stage of CCSU's Welte Hall with the support of family, friends, and our incredible faculty and staff. Today, we still feel the excitement of this next step in each student’s inspiring journey. Wherever you go next, graduates, know that you carry our support and admiration with you. Congratulations once again, Class of 2026!

Commencement is upon us! In just a few short hours, our graduates will be walking across the stage in CCSU’s Welte Hall to receive their hard-earned degrees. In addition to being incredibly proud of our grads, we also want to make sure that both graduates and guests have everything they need to set themselves up for a smooth night. For instructions on where to park, getting directions, scheduling, photography, diplomas and certificates, or special accommodations, please visit https://bit.ly/4nJulTa.

The doors to Welte Hall will open at 5:15 p.m., however, graduates should report to Alumni Hall in the Student Center for lineup by 5 p.m., fully robed with Reader Card in hand.

Commencement is just around the corner! Check out this guide on how to wear your graduation regalia, including your gown, cap, tassel, cords, and stoles. Remember to remove your gown from its packaging and hang it up prior to the ceremony—placing it near your shower can help steam out any wrinkles. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

On Friday, the CT State Tunxis Phi Theta Kappa held their induction ceremony for new PTK members, as well as their award ceremony for Tunxis PTK student leaders. From golden amulets to white flowers and all the scholarly honor and curiosity PTK symbolizes, it was a day to remember.

Thank you to all the students who have helped lead PTK and forge it into what it is, and to the faculty and staff who guide and give encouragement. Good luck to the newly appointed student leaders of PTK! We can’t wait to see what you do with this “key to a world of opportunity” that you have found in Phi Theta Kappa.
