Today, we celebrate Dr. Shayla Walker and social work alum Kendyl Titus for their recent peer-reviewed publication!
The peer-reviewed article explores how mental health concepts are taught and discussed in undergraduate social work education. The study asks a question that feels especially important right now: Are we truly preparing future social workers to recognize and respond to the mental health needs of the communities they will serve?
Kendyl and Dr. Walker not only conducted the research leading to publication, but they have also presented their findings at state and national conferences.
We are thrilled about their ongoing success and so grateful for the opportunities our students have to engage in research-informed practice and practice-informed research!
