Looking for counselors to complete a 10 to 15-minute survey about burnout in relation to your work environment. Eligibility requirements are listed in the flyer below. Upon completion of the survey, you may enter a raffle to win one of two $50 Amazon gift cards. The drawing will occur once all data is collected. Please consider participating and passing along the word to your colleagues. We are aiming to recruit 200 counselors and presently have 135. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Dear Counseling Students and Alumni:

This morning, I opened my mailbox and came across a wonderful email from Mrs. Lizz Norris, Outreach Coordinator for Counseling Psychology, sharing some exciting news about our Counseling Program!

I am very happy to share with you that Upper Iowa University’s Counseling Program, including both the Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling tracks, has been ranked #3 among the best counseling programs in Iowa for 2026-2027! 🎉

The Counseling Compact has reached another milestone as over 3,000 counselors have received privileges to practice across state lines! The Counseling Compact enables professional counselors who meet uniform licensure requirements to quickly obtain a privilege to practice, which is equivalent to a license to practice counseling in another state.

The Counseling Compact represents the biggest change in the counseling profession in 20 years and has the potential to increase access to the estimated 122 million people in the U.S. who live in areas with mental health provider shortages.
