Our Story
Career and Technical Education (CATE) is comprised of three programs - business technology education, family and consumer science education and technology education. Professors Vinson Carter, Mike Daugherty, Sheri Deaton and Betsy Orr teach classes ranging from STEM, technology, sewing, pedagogy, classroom management, and assessment. Our graduates have gone on to become award-winning teachers and school administrators. Our current students are active in the community and schools by volunteering for the CTE student organizations. Students receive learning experiences beyond the classroom under the guidance of their faculty program advisor.
