To support Homecoming Weekend activities and ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians on campus, several parking areas will be temporarily closed. Please review the following parking restrictions and deadlines.
Thursday, October 15:
• Taylor Social Science Parking lot will close after 5:00 p.m.
• The lot will remain closed through Sunday, October 18, 2026, 5:00 p.m.
• Capel lot will close at 12 p.m.
• Capel lot will remain closed until Saturday at 10 p.m.
Friday, October 16:
Following the conclusion of the 2026 All About the Blue Homecoming Step Show, all West Campus parking lots will close.
All vehicles must be removed from the following West Campus parking lots immediately following the Step Show:
• Taylor Science Lot
• Lilly Building Lot
• Capel Arena Lot
• Stadium Lot
• Loretta Taylor Lot
• Williams Lot
• Mitchell Lot
Additionally:
• All Vehicles must be removed from Seabrook Lot by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026.
• All visitors and vehicles without valid parking decals must be removed from all campus parking lots by 11:59 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2026.
• Any vehicles remaining on campus after the 11:59 p.m. deadline without a valid parking decal will be towed at the owner's expense.
Saturday, October 17:
• Early campus access beginning at 5:00 a.m. Will be permitted only for vehicles displaying a valid student, faculty, or staff parking decal or vehicles with an authorized special permit.
• West campus parking lots will remain closed until 10:00 p.m.
• Lilly Gym Lot will remain closed due to ongoing Parking Deck construction
Alternative Parking for Residential Students:
Residential students needing alternative parking during the closures may use:
• College Of Education Lot
• Student Center Lot
Important Information:
The Fayetteville State University Police Department will begin conducting a comprehensive campus parking sweep on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., in preparation for Homecoming activities. During this sweep, officers will inspect campus parking areas to ensure that all vehicles have the appropriate parking permits, credentials, or authorized Homecoming parking passes.
Any vehicle found on campus without the required parking authorization will be subject to immediate towing at the owner's expense, without exception. All students, faculty, staff, vendors, and authorized visitors should ensure that their vehicles display the appropriate parking credentials and are parked in designated areas before the enforcement period begins.
This enforcement initiative is necessary to maintain campus safety, preserve designated parking areas, and ensure that parking facilities are available for authorized individuals during Homecoming.
