Our Elementary and Childhood Education programs recently welcomed more than 100 new teacher candidates!

Our own Dr. Megan Rosa-Caldwell was recently in the news discussing a new multi-million-dollar grant supporting the university’s Arkansas Integrative Metabolic Research Center! 🧬🔬

The $11.2 million grant will support Dr. Rosa-Caldwell and several other researchers as they work to deepen our understanding of the role of cell and tissue metabolism in disease, human development, and repair processes.

Students interested in careers in healthcare or social services are invited to attend on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 2-4 p.m. in the Arkansas Union.

🏃 Careers in Motion
This new career fair is designed for students in sports and recreation, public health, exercise science, athletic training, physical education, and related fields. Join us on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in HPER Gym 1.

Congratulations to Dr. Miguel Garcia-Salas on receiving an Advancing Academic-Research Careers Award from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association! 🏆✨

Given to just 10 researchers in the field each year, the award is designed to strengthen support for early-career faculty members and their academic research. Dr. Garcia-Salas’ research focuses on family-centered approaches to supporting children’s language and literacy development.

Congratulations to our college’s researchers who received funding through the I³R Watershed Grants Program! 🎉

Researchers from across our college are part of exciting new interdisciplinary research collaborations, including a project led by Dr. Julie Hill. 15 teams are receiving a combined $1 million in seed funding, and we can’t wait to see where these collaborations lead!
