In our department, students can earn a bachelor's degree of biological engineering with an emphasis in biomedical engineering, biotechnology engineering or ecological engineering. We offer four graduate programs: Master of Science in Biological Engineering; Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering; Master of Science in Engineering; Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering.

Calling all BENG Alums — let's catch up at the ballpark! We're hosting a summer alumni event on Thursday, July 23, at the NWA Naturals game, and we'd love for you to join us! We've reserved an air-conditioned double suite for the evening, so come ready for a night of baseball, refreshments, and great conversation with fellow classmates, faculty, and staff.

Families are welcome, and each alum can reserve up to 5 tickets. The Naturals will take on the Springfield Cardinals at 7 p.m. RSVP by July 6!

"The potential for growth here is unmatched because there's so much support around you," Vinson said. "If you can take advantage of it, you can get to the moon." - Sam Vinson.

Sam Vinson is graduating this May from the University of Arkansas with two majors, biological engineering and Spanish, three minors, a Walmart internship and something most engineers don't accomplish before they receive their diploma: a first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Huge thanks to Dr. Papanikolopoulos from the University of Minnesota for a fascinating seminar on view planning for 3D reconstruction of plants!

Dr. Papanikolopoulos's presentation closed out The College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas Working Group to Advance Smart AG Seminar Series, which showcased leading experts driving innovation in smart agricultural systems.
