Alpha Lambda Delta- University of Arkansas Chapter First Year Honor Society Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society has recognized the University of Arkansas Chapter for Alpha Lambda Delta as of 2011.

Alpha Lambda Delta is a First Year Honor Society in the New Student & Family Programs Office at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville whose mission is to recognize students who excel academically in their first semester and first year of college and encourage throughout their undergraduate career. Alpha Lambda Delta was founded in 1924 at the University of Illinois and has 850 chapters nationall

y. In order to be eligible, students must have a 3.5 grade point average of and be in the top 20% of their class. Students who meet these qualifications within their first year at the University will get the opportunity to engage in community service projects, apply for national scholarship and fellowship opportunities, build leadership experience within the organization and across campus, and benefit from a society that is focused on helping them to maintain their high academic performance. ALD is a fantastic way to start building your resume in your first year at the University of Arkansas.
