A new year of learning is underway for Walton Executive MBA students!

This past Saturday marked the first session for our Executive MBA Class of 2028 and the start of the final year of the program for our returning second-year students.

Our newest cohort began their Walton MBA journey with Marketing, taught by Dr. Jeff Murray, and Business Analytics, taught by Dr. Kevin Harmon. Meanwhile, second-year students continued building on their MBA experience through Leadership & Organizational Behavior with Drs. Adam Stoverink and Matt Waller, as well as Demand Planning & Inventory Operations with Dr. Christian Hofer.

From new faces beginning their MBA experience to returning students taking on their next year of coursework, it was a great Saturday to have our Executive MBA community back together and learning on campus!

Our Full-Time MBA Class of 2027 kicked off Professional Development Week with two days focused on career growth, leadership, and networking.

Students began the week with a workshop led by Ryan Stearle, Director of Sales at Taylor Farms, focused on building their personal and professional brands.

Day Two continued with a focus on leadership and relationships. Adam Stoverink, Executive Director of MBA Programs, led sessions on leadership strengths and navigating difficult conversations, while Elizabeth Jehl, Senior Director at Lowe's Companies, Inc., shared insights on building relationships and connections in the workplace.

Students also connected with representatives from Circana during a Lunch and Learn session focused on career opportunities at the company.

These first two days offered our Full-Time MBA students valuable opportunities to learn, reflect, and connect as they prepare for the year ahead. We are grateful to each of the workshop leaders who invested their time and experience in our students.

The journey begins for the Walton Executive MBA Class of 2028!

Orientation gave our newest cohort an introduction to the people, experiences, and opportunities that will shape their time in the program. Students connected with classmates, learned more about career coaching and Global Immersion, heard from current students and alumni, and even stepped into the classroom for their first Introduction to Strategy sessions.

Olga Murcia, MBA Alumni & Employer Engagement Lead, helped welcome the cohort and guide them through what to expect in the months ahead, while Adam Stoverink, Executive Director of MBA Programs, introduced students to the academic experience and led their first strategy course.

The weekend also gave students plenty of time to begin building one of the most important parts of the Executive MBA experience: their network. From conversations throughout orientation to a networking reception at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, the Class of 2028 had the opportunity to start forming connections that will continue throughout the program.

Welcome to Walton, Class of 2028. We cannot wait to see where the next two years take you!
