Much of the most important work in emergency services happens long before an emergency occursโ€”through education, awareness, and the willingness of professionals to share their knowledge with others. While the lessons shared today may not be needed immediately, they could make a life-changing difference in the future.

This tractor certification course is designed to fulfill the Wisconsin mandate that any youth under the age of 16 must complete a tractor and machinery certification course to operate agricultural machinery on public roads. Upon completion of a written and driving test, students over age 14 will be issued a federal certificate. Students under age 14 will be issued a certificate when they reach the age of 14. Students must be at least 12 years old.

After nearly 44 years of service at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, Compliance Officer Karen Campbell is leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to support students and employees long after her retirement.

Campbellโ€™s connection to Southwest Tech began shortly after she graduated from Fennimore High School. Just five days after graduation, in 1982, she started working as a student employee in the collegeโ€™s financial aid office while enrolled in the Legal Secretary program. She later accepted a full-time position at the college, beginning a career that would span more than four decades.

Today, four Southwest Tech instructors spent part of their summer supporting the 24th Annual Grant Regional Health Center Foundation Golf Outing. Their involvement reflects the strong partnership between Southwest Tech and Grant Regional Health Center, as well as a shared commitment to strengthening the health and well-being of our communities.

Thank you to Grant Regional for all you do for our region, and best of luck with this yearโ€™s fundraiser supporting the expansion of Behavioral Health, Outpatient Counseling, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, and Nutrition Services.
