Congrats to Ferrum's Zack Leonard '11 on being named head football coach at William Fleming High School in Roanoke, Virginia. Leonard played for Ferrum from 2007-10. He’s been a coach and mentor for many years in the greater Roanoke Valley area.

“In high school, I had four different varsity head coaches in five years at Patrick Henry,” said Leonard. “Even then I could see that the lack of consistency made an impact on our program. My time at Ferrum College showed me the effect a great program can have on a group of people. It helped me be a better student, athlete, and a better person. I always knew I wanted to be a head football coach, but my time at Ferrum taught me WHY I wanted to be a head football coach … the impact!”
