Please join us in congratulating University of Findlay College of Pharmacy P4 student, Tam Tran, on an outstanding accomplishment at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah, October 17–20, 2026!

Tam’s research was recognized among the Top 3 Posters at the ACCP Annual Meeting and was also awarded the PK/PD/PG PRN SIG Best Poster Award!

Her award-winning research, conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Lewis, Dr. Nicole Horstman, and Dr. Rachel Kahle, was titled: “Re-evaluation of Cefiderocol Dosing During Prolonged Intermittent Kidney Replacement Therapy Using Updated Pharmacokinetic Data: A Monte Carlo Simulation.”

These recognitions highlight the importance of collaborative research, mentorship, and the advancement of evidence-based pharmacotherapy. We are incredibly proud of Tam and her mentors for representing the University of Findlay on a national stage and contributing meaningful research to the pharmacy profession.

Last Friday, the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy welcomed prospective pharmacy students for VIP2 Day! Students had the opportunity to explore the pharmacy profession, learn more about our program, and get a glimpse of what life as a future Oiler looks like.

Congratulations to Dr. Michael Isei on the recent publication of his manuscript, “Enhancing Global Alzheimer's Disease Drug Outcomes by Comprehensive African Data Integration,” in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease!

In addition to his scholarly contributions to healthcare research, Dr. Isei is also the author of the children's book Why Do I Look Like My Parents?

Their collaborative research examined the compatibility, stability, and antimicrobial effectiveness of vancomycin and cefepime admixtures in peritoneal dialysis solutions, providing valuable evidence to support medication safety and patient care.
