What do cockroaches have to do with psychology? More than you might think!🪳

In PSYC 315: Animal Behavior, students get hands-on experience exploring how animals learn and respond to their environment. In a recent lab, students put conditioning concepts into practice by conducting learning experiments with dubia cockroaches!

From the classroom to real-world research, Oiler’s get the opportunity to learn by doing.🔬

In recognition of Deaf Awareness Month, students in Dr. Brant’s Deaf Communities and Societies class took their learning to the sidewalks across campus. 🤟🧡

Using chalk, students shared facts about American Sign Language, Deaf culture, and the Deaf community to help educate others and build greater awareness and understanding.

If you spot their messages around campus, take a moment to stop, read, and learn something new!
