100% renewable energy 'moonshot' for millennials at Fitchburg State forum

Thanks to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for covering our event last night!

"Calling it the millennial generation’s “moonshot,” environmental advocates and state representatives met with several millennials at Fitchburg State University Tuesday night to discuss how to achieve a 100% renewable energy future."

“Climate change is very much a ‘right now’ problem. For generations we’ve kicked the can down the road ... but as millennials we don’t really have that option,” said Kevin O’Reilly, field organizer for the Environment Massachusetts Research and Policy Center. “But it’s not all doom and gloom. We can be the generation that pulls our planet back from the brink. It’s this generation’s moonshot.”

Happy 100% Renewable Energy Day! It’s the 100th day of the year, and in 2019, we’ve already seen commitments from communities, cities, and states across the country to using 100% renewable energy. Who’s next?

Well if we have anything to do with it.. it will be MA! Here is MASSPIRG Students at the Statehouse Monday talking to our elected officials about passing the 100% Renewable Energy Act!

Also check out our Central Mass Millennials for 100% Renewable Energy event last night at Fitchburg State University! Special thanks to attendees, Environment Massachusetts, State Representative Natalie Higgins and Representative Jon Zlotnik for attending!

MASSPIRG Students calls for Automatic Voter Registration | MASSPIRG Students

With another low turnout election we can't wait any long, Massachusetts must become the 11th state to pass Automatic Voter Registration. Let's improve our democracy! #AVRinMA #mapoli
